The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) CEO, Mr. John Tunidau, met with Fiji’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK), Mr. Jitoko Tikolevu, to discuss the High Commission’s continued support and facilitation of attendance to International Maritime Organisation (IMO) forums and meetings.
The meeting took place at MSAF headquarters, level 4 Kadavu House in Suva on 4th April, 2017.
“The Fijian High Commission to the UK, based in London, is an important partner for MSAF and helps ensure Fiji is represented at key international Maritime forums & meetings conducted by IMO,” said Mr Tunidau.
IMO is a specialized agency of the United Nations, responsible for setting global standard for maritime safety, security and environmental protection for international shipping and seafaring.
IMO currently has 172 Member States, including Fiji, and three Associate Members.
